(Did you mean William F. Jenkins?)

(December 26, 1925 – October 3, 1964)

William J. Jenkins, a Philadelphia fan, was a one-time president of PSFS. He attended conventions regularly through the 1950s, including Loncon and Solacon.

He was known as "the wittiest unpublished fan", though he occasionally had poems and humorous articles published in Cry and other fanzines. He edited several of the PRs for Philcon II in 1953.

He was an honorary Ex-Chairman of the Liverpool Science Fiction Society and a member of the Fanoclasts.

(He was occasionally confused with author Murray Leinster, whose real name was Will F. Jenkins, notably at Discon 1, when fan Jenkins almost received Pro GoH Jenkins's complimentary hotel room.)
