Robert Gibson Jones, a Chicago pulp artist, painted his first cover for the August 1942 issue of Fantastic Adventures. His work also graced Amazing Stories and other Ziff-Davis prozines, as well as Other Worlds Science Stories and Universe Science Fiction.
