The convention was set up in large part to celebrate the Hugo Zelazny won at Tricon (the 1966 Best Novel Hugo for And Call Me Conrad and the prime mover was Howard DeVore who chaired it with Larry Smith and Bob Hillis as most of the committee. It had over a hundred members.
