Flahsh, aka Rick Pohlman, is a con fan and photographer from New Jersey, active since the 1960s. The nickname was bestowed on him just after Heicon, the 1970 Worldcon, by Mary Burns’ sister, Rose. He added the fannish H later. Bill Burns recalled that Flahsh arrived at the con with “a suitcase full of cameras and film and one change of clothes.”

At one time, Flahsh had a driver’s license with the name “F. L. Ahsh” on it, but we don’t know whether it was legal.
