Most of the fannish activity in Pennsylvania has been in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, with some in State College.

Chapter #3 of the SFL formed in Erie, PA, in 1934. There have been two clubs in Western Pennsylvania, WPSFA and WSFA. Other Keystone State groups have been the Central Pennsylvania Science Fiction Association and the Southern Pennsylvania Science Fiction Association. Cons: Hexacon and the Valley Forge 2017 NASFiC bid.
