A fannish play by Art Widner, as well as the story it was adapted from: Russell Chauvenet's parody of the Jack Williamson 1934 novel, The Legion of Space, in which the hero's iron fortitude completes the cackle-cackle machine, saving the Earth.
It was performed as theater-in-the-round at Boskone II in 1942. Scripts were handed out to the audience, who were happy to shout out prompts when the cast forgot its lines.
