Virginia “Ginny” Saari was Chairman of the Program Committee for Chicon II, the 1952 Worldcon.

An admiring Walt Willis mentioned her frequently in his conrep in The Harp Stateside (WAW never mentioned Oliver Saari who was also on the committee).

Virginia May Haas married Oliver Saari in November 1950 and they settled in Chicago. Both Saaris were at Midwestcon 1. They divorced at some point.

Ginny married Roland Calvin Briggs in 1977. They were divorced in 1981.
