William J. Thailing was a Cleveland fan most active during the 1960s. He was a reader and collector of such prozines as Amazing and Other Worlds. He was Treasurer of the Cleveland in '66 bid and Secretary-Treasurer of Tricon itself.

He was married to Zylpha Thailing.

In his mundane life, he worked over 40 years for various railroads and was a mail-order comic book dealer.
