Herbert Levantman or Herman Leventman or possibly Herman Leventmen, an early New York fan, was one of the charter members of The Futurians, attending its first meeting in 1938.
He appears in a group picture in The Futurians (1977) by Damon Knight as Herbert Levantman, but Jack Speer named him Herman Leventman in Fancyclopedia 1 (1944), and Sam Moskowitz also used that name. A Herman Leventmen (1920–2009) is shown in U.S. Army records as enlisting in 1942. Choose your historian.
