Donald Houston was a UK fan from Northampton active in the 1940s. He was on the committee of Midvention in 1943 and was a founding member of the British Fantasy Society and part of its advisory board.
He was a subscriber to Futurian War Digest and was often mentioned from #3 seeking or selling various magazine back-issues, suggesting he was a collector and perhaps a dealer. He also contributed to Cosmos with J. Michael Rosenblum saying of his story that it was 'of a surprisingly high standard for fan fiction'.
In 1942 he was one of the first 16 members of the British Fantasy Society listed in the Preliminary Bulletin #1 and was appointed to its advisory board. He was also one of the sponsors for the proposed British Fantasy Amateur Press Association that seemingly never came to anything, and was reported to be working on a 'Who's Who'. He also produced the fanzine Colossus in partnership with Terry Overton of Cardiff. Later in 1943 he moved to Letchworth and while he attended the 1944 Eastercon his fan activity seems to have curtailed after the relocation.
