Kranold v. Ackerman?[edit]

I'm not sure if Kranold ever sued Ackerman per se; what I do see is that he reported him to the State Board of Industrial Relations for operating a literary agency without a license. If we update this page, we should also clarify LASFS#Death Will Not Release You. —Bee Ostrowsky (talk) 08:09, 17 March 2023 (PDT)

Great find again, I had been curious about this one. I am all for updating pages with sourced period details without hesitation (what else is Fanac.org, and Fancy, for?). The article mentions a subpoena, charges, felony and misdemeanor, so it is no wonder that this got simplified in general memory. --JVjr (talk) 11:38, 17 March 2023 (PDT)
See Peter Kranold for the lawsuit source. It’s perfectly possible that Kranold both sued and also reported Forry. It’s unlikely anyone will find definitive records. So while adding the report from Fantasy Times, where relevant, is a good idea, we should probably not contradict Ellik, reporting only four years later, on the lawsuit. –Leah Zeldes Smith (talk) 06:25, 18 March 2023 (PDT)
