Second Australian Science Fiction Convention
The second Australian Natcon was a convention held May 1-3, 1953 at the G.U.O.O.F. Hall on Saturday and the Sydney Bridge Club on Sunday in Sydney, NSW.
Vol Molesworth was Chairman, Arthur W. Haddon was Secretary and it was sponsored by the Futurian Society of Sydney.

The advertised dates were 1 - 2 - 3 May, 1953. However, the only event scheduled for Friday 1st May was a pre-convention dinner that was available as an optional extra. So, the convention could alternatively be reported as running 2 - 3 May, 1953, as in a convention report by Rex Meyer that was first published in Jimmy Taurasi's Fantasy Times and is reproduced in issue 22 of Chris Nelson's Mumblings from Munchkinland.
A convention report by I. J. Crozier was published in issue 5 of Etherline. It mentions that the original booking for the Friday event was cancelled, and a different site got used.
