ScanCon 76 was the 1976 national convention in Sweden, held in Stockholm June 4–6 and chaired by John-Henri Holmberg and Per Insulander. With over 500 paying members and around 470 attending it was by far the largest sf con thus far held in any of the Scandinavian countries, a record not surpassed until the 2011 Eurocon in Stockholm. It featured three parallell program tracks, an art show, a separate film program, and was considered an unusually ambitious Swedish con. Jack Vance was Guest of Honor; the program featured speakers from Norway and Denmark as well as Sweden.
