Sanford Zane Meschkow was a long-time New York and Philadelphia fan (and President of PSFS), member of FISTFA and close friend of artist Mike Hinge. Professionally, he was an engineer and editor/writer who in the 60s worked for NASA.
He wrote about his years in New York fandom in a longish blog post in 2009.
