(April 19, 1903 – 1957)

Stephen G. J. Ouseley was a UK fan from Stoke-on-Trent active from the 1940s. He attended the Eastercon in 1944 and was a member of the Stoke-on-Trent Science Fiction Club and the British Fantasy Society (BFS).

He joined the BFS around June 1943 and Futurian War Digest #32 reported his interest in:

... the formation of a weird book club, within the BFS, to act as a sort of subsidiary library specialising in this type of fantasy.

The BFS bulletin #16 in May 1944 reported that the 'Weird Section' was 'flourishing ... and now has eleven members including Ouseley

He attended the 1944 Eastercon. Contemporary reports refer to 'the Ouseleys' so the assumption is that his wife, Rachel, was also present although there is no evidence that she was a fan per se.

Ouseley was a schoolmaster in 1939. It's unconfirmed but information at ancestry.co.uk suggests the Ouseleys moved to Surrey around 1947 and that Rachel died in 1952 and Stephen in 1957.
