Two interviews with Murphy appeared in the Summer 1990 issue (Vol. 3, No. 2) of the fanzine Nova Express.

Murphy's other fiction includes There and Back Again: By Max Merriwell in 1999, and The Wild Angel in 2000. Both her Adventures in Time and Space with Max Merriwell and the booklet A Flock of Lawn Flamingos [a story she originally published in Lethal Kisses, a UK anthology] were published in 2001. In 2008, with Karen Joy Fowler and Debbie Notkin, she edited The James Tiptree Award Anthology 4.
