OKon 4 was a convention held July 19-20, 1980 at the Mayo Hotel in Tulsa, OK. The GoH was Alan Dean Foster, and Shelby Bush III and Mary Kay Jackson were FGoHs. The Toastmaster was Gordon R. Dickson. Membership was more than 2000.
Foster had an unpleasant experience at the convention which was later discussed in an editorial on the state of fandom by Harlan Ellison. ("Xenogenesis," reprinted in Edgeworks: the Collected Ellison.)
