Lila E. Shaffer was a prozine editor, who worked in the 1940s and ’50s for Amazing, Fantastic, and Fantastic Adventures. Many of her editorials were bylined L. E. Shaffer. Howard Browne is reported to have said that he could not have managed editing the magazines without her.
