Larry “Val” Walker was an Oklahoma fan of the 1950s. He belonged to the Oklahoma Science Fiction Confederation and worked on its clubzines. In March 1954, Nite Cry 3 reported:
Larry Walker has left the staff of NITE CRY. He is working towards a scholarship and has found all his time taken up with schoolwork (and girls?). Hope Larry finds time now and then for a story and will rejoin us when school is out.
