Julius W. Long, an Ohio writer, attended the first Midwestcon in 1950. Long wrote short stories, including weird fiction and mysteries, for the pulps in the 1930s.
Like Midwestcon founder Doc Barrett, Long lived in Bellefontaine, OH. He was a lawyer in mundania.
