John Goldsmid was a UK fan from Leeds active in the 1940. He was described as a 'new' fan in Futurian War Digest #1 in October 1940 where editor J. Michael Rosenblum said he would be in charge of a department for producing fan polls. In the next issue Rosenblum bemoaned the low level of response. Goldsmid was a participant in the Fandom GPO.
