Jo Walton is a fan, an SF and fantasy writer, and a poet. She has written a history of the Hugos up to the year 2000.
Born in Wales, Walton moved to Montreal, after her first novel was published. She is married to Ireland-born Dr. Emmet A. O'Brien.
