Bruce Elliott

(May 30, 1914 – March 21, 1973)

Bruce Walter Gardner Lively Stacy Elliott, a New York pro, wrote fantasy and sf in the 1950s. He was a member of the Hydra Club.

His April 1954 F&SF tale, "Wolves Don't Cry," is a highly acclaimed example of the werewolf genre.

He was also a stage magician, and wrote several books about magic.

In November 1972, Elliott was hit by a taxi, lapsed into a coma, and died four months later.
