(February 13, 1942 – December 2020)
Brian Jordan was a fan from Lancashire, UK active from the 1950s. He was a founder member of the BSFA (number 11 and the first "associate", which is to say under 18, member), the Irlam SFA, Sheffield University Union SF&F Association, the Young Science Fiction Reading Group and The Fellowship of the Ring. He was a member of OMPA (joining apparently in 1960) and its OE in the 1965/6 season. Around 2000 he provided scanning for the conversion of Archie Mercer's Meadows of Fantasy online and helped prepare the collected edition of Ken Bulmer's TAFF Tales.
In Who's Who in Science Fiction Fandom (1961) he said of himself:
Collects books/magazines (200), fmz. fan-photos. Corresponds with a number in England. "I'm coordinating all my fanac – except letter-writing and writing for other zines – under the house-name of 'kobold press'. Any of several vague ideas for projects which I realize in the future will be brought under this by-line; I have a yen to produce a checklist of something; I have a keen interest (if not very active) in all connected with duplicating and printing, and hope to have a small printing press eventually."
- Kobold [1959–66] (for OMPA)
- Rope of Sand [1961 for OMPA; 1993–6]
- Vice [1961]
