Allan Longton

(November 20, 1919 – January 7, 2001)

Allan Longton (sometimes referred to as Allen) was a UK fan from Leyland in Lancashire active in the 1940s and early 1950s. He was a member of the British Fantasy Society (BFS), the British Fantasy Library (BFL) and Operation Fantast.

Longton was a subscriber to Futurian War Digest from around April 1942 and joined the BFS later that year.

In 1939 he was employed as a sheet metal worker.

He is listed in the Directory of Anglo-Fandom of 1945 where he is noted as being in the forces, but not in later directories.
