Cixin Liu (刘慈欣 | 劉慈欣), a Chinese SF writer, is best known for his Three Body Trilogy (《三体》三部曲). The English translation by Ken Liu of the first book won the 2015 Hugo Award and is being made into a film.

He was named as a goh for the 2023 Chengdu Worldcon, and contributed to controversy over that convention by making remarks in support of China’s oppression of its Uyghur minority.
