Mel Hunter

Mel Hunter was an L.A. fan and pro artist whose work appeared on many prozine covers beginning in 1953 and lasting into the ’70s. He is especially well-known for a series of robot covers for the F&SF.
He and his wife, Nancy, were members of LASFS.
