The Continental Hotel (now known as the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile) is located in the Streeterville neighborhood in Chicago and was the site of Capricon 4 and an unofficial overflow hotel for various Chicago Worldcons.

It’s famous for its junior Olympic-size indoor swimming pool on the 14th floor, decorated with Spanish Majolica tiles and supported by a sturdy system used by railroad bridges. Built in 1929, the pool is one of the oldest in Chicago, one of the biggest in the country, and among the most beautiful in the world.
