Xanadu 6 (also known as Xanadu Omega because it had been previously announced to be the last Xanadu -- and it turned out to be, because Xanadu VII was announced but then cancelled) was held in November 17-19, 1989 at the Ramada inn, Opryland in Nashville, TN. The GoHs were Sharon Webb, Debbie Hughes (artist), Mark Maxwell (special, but he was also an artist) , and Brad Strickland's Cooler (fan) which seems to have been a bit of an affectation, especially since the Cooler's writeup was by "Brad Strickland's Word Processor".

It was chaired by Dan Caldwell and Bob Tucker was toastmaster.

Dan Caldwell writes:

Fran wanted out of the con business and Dan found it difficult to manage a con long-distance from Atlanta. A group of Atlanta and Chattanooga fans offered to help run the con, then announced that this was the last Xanadu, hence flyers naming it Xanadu Omega. The con suffered another drop in attendance, down to about 350. The con chair remembers very little, except that he spent the entire con running around putting out "fires" (so what else is new?).
