Rumor of abuse[edit]
It might be nearly impossible to find any records of Sykora being released with only a warning, but it occurs to me that another William Sykora was accused in Ohio of criminally assaulting a 14-year-old girl a year before Chicon, which might have circulated without the accompanying fact that the other William Sykora died by suicide. However, our subject wasn't an Ohioan and this news piece has nothing to do with later accusations.
