Smofcon 37 & 1/4 was a 6-hour virtual convention on Saturday December 5, 2020 organized by Cansmof after they were forced by Covid-19 to postpone Smofcon 38, planned for that weekend in Montreal, and jointly with the committee of Smofcon 39. It consisted of the Fannish Inquisition and two other program items – CoNZealand Chairs Chat and "Pivot to Virtual Conventions and Best Practices" panel; there was also a virtual con suite. It had about 300 participants.
Cansmof will finally host Smofcon 38 in Montreal in December 2022 (after Smofcon 39 or Smofcon Europe took place more or less as planned in December 2021).
