Ohio fandom has occurred mainly in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus and Toledo, though Roger Reynolds pubbed and ran Incon from Findlay; Octocon was held in Sandusky; and Spacecon in Wapakoneta. There have been some outbursts from Bowling Green, as fen went to school there, and some Pulpcons, too.

The state hosted three Worldcons, all by 1966: Clevention and Tricon in Cleveland and Cinvention in Cincinnati. Numerous attempts by Columbus fans to mount Worldcon bids have been unsuccessful.
