Lindy Sears Laurent, a filker, helped create The Dandelion Conspiracy. In 1991, she suggested that Balticon include a filk guest of honor and she ran filk at Balticon for several years. She chaired Conterpoint 1993 despite having moved out to San Francisco, where she eventually married Bob Laurent. In addition to helping Bob with Wail Songs, she also ran children's programming at Consonance.

She died by suicide soon after the death of her husband.
