Ivor Rogers was one of the founding members of the SFRA and the organization's first treasurer. He attended early Minicons and chaired a number of Secondary Universe conventions.

He taught at the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay, and Drake University. He also ran an sf bookstore, The Time Machine in Des Moines, IA, in the mid-1970s.
