Ian Gunn sometimes called Gunny, was a UK-born Australian fan and fan artist. He won the 1999 Best Fan Artist Hugo, the first Best Fan Artist Hugo won by an Australian. (He was nominated for the Best Fan Artist Hugo in 1996–98.)

Ian founders a Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy []fan club]] in 1981. He was president of the Melbourne Science Fiction Club for 1989/90, 1990/91 and 1991/92. He co-chaired Basicon 1 in 1995 and Basicon 2 in 1997.
