A fan from St. Louis, MO who was a member of the Ozark Science Fiction Association where he met his wife, fellow fan Lesleigh Couch Luttrell. In college they founded the Missouri SF Association. He was FGoH of Archon 3 in 1979. For a time he ran 20th Century Books in Madison, WI and co-chaired WisCon 6.

He was one of the editors of the OSFA clubzines Sirruish and Osfan. With Lesleigh Luttrell, he edited Starling which was nominated for the 1975 Best Fanzine Hugo. He was a member of APA 45 and N'APA.
