The Fannish Educational Network (FEN) was a Chicago-area organization headed by Dick Smith and incorporated as an educational non-profit, which sent out fanzines at educational postal rates for a number of faneds during the 1980s and '90s. Dick and Leah Smith published a newsletter, Postal Pointers, to explain the process to participants.

The organization was revived briefly in 2015 to sponsor Operacon.
