David H. Cohen, a Manchester fan active in the 1950s, was a founder and secretary of the Nor'west Science Fantasy Club and chaired Mancon 1. When he joined the N3F, he was described in the N.F.F.F. Committeeman (October 1950, p. 3):

David H. Cohen—32 Larch Street, Hightown, Manchester 8, Lancashire, England. Clothing trade, 29, read stf 17 yrs. SFS of Gt. Britain. Amateur writer, corresponds. Willing to do correspondence for N3F.
