Christine McGowan Ashby is an Australian who found fandom in 1969. She won DUFF in 1976, was on the Melbourne in '85 committee, and organized Smoffcon 1. She is married to fellow fan Derek Ashby and lives in South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. They published the fanzines The Hag and the Hungry Goblin, The Smoff's Newsletter, and The Flight of the Kangaroo (their DUFF Report).
