Calgary, AB, Canada, was host to Con-Version, sponsored by the Calgary & Area Fandom Enhancement Society; it currently hosts the When Words Collide convention. The Alberta Science Fiction Society is based there, and, formerly, the Calgary SF Club.
The Calgary Philatelist was published and the Sentry Box bookstore is there.
