Alfred Angelo Attanasio is a pro who writes fantasy and science fiction. His novel Radix was nominated for the 1981 Nebula Award. It was followed by three other novels in his critically acclaimed “Radix Tetrad.” He also has written under the pennames Adam Lee and Joseph Beyerd-Markham.

He contributed to the 1971 fanzine Mount to the Stars.

He was born in Newark, New Jersey.
