(1883 -- 1959)

Edwin Balmer was an American SF and mystery writer who also helped create the SF comic strip Speed Spaulding.

He is remembered today principally for co-authoring (with Philip Wylie) the SF novels When Worlds Collide (1933) and After Worlds Collide (1934).
