Carol Kendall was an author of children's books. Known as "Siggy," she was a graduate of Ohio University. She was born during the end of World War I, and became an important observer and writer of the major events of the 20th Century. It was her travels across the world that inspired her folk tale stories. She gathered old folk tales from other countries and translated them into English for children.
Kendall is most well known for her children's fantasies.
Awards, Honors and GoHships:
She won the Mythopoeic Society Award (fantasy) in 1983 for her novel, The Firelings. She was GoH at Mythcon XXIV in 1993.
