(???? –)

G. W. Axworthy was a UK fan from Portsmouth briefly active in the 1930s. He was a member of the Science Fiction Association (SFA) from around October 1937. He also attended the Third British Convention in London in 1939 where according to Sam Youd writing in The Satellite v2 #6:

Eventually the time came for departing, though Portsmouthite Mr. British-Citizen-minus-a-meal (Axworthy), had to be driven out with ray-guns.

Sadly, as this is about all we know about G. W., history does not record what on earth it means.

He is listed in the Directory of Anglo-Fandom for 1945 with a status of 'Not in touch at the present moment'.
