My First Real Convention

My First Real Convention was a 14-page, one-shot apazine published in August 1954 by Mal Ashworth for OMPA mailing #1 with an additional 'fifteen ... complimentary copies for individuals considered either hyper-appreciative or nearly Ghods'. It is an account of Ashworth's attendance at the Supermancon, the 1954 Eastercon. In closing, he said, 'I think I like Conventions because there are fans there.'
Daphne Buckmaster said in Espirit #1 (December 1954):
My First Real Convention was the most original conreport I’ve read and it is fast becoming time that conreports were original. Good work.
