(1914 – January 3, 2005)

Kenneth Vye Bailey, generally known as K. V. Bailey or Ken Bailey, was a poet, critic and fan resident in Alderney in the Channel Islands. Before retirement he had been the BBC's Chief Education Officer.

He published a number of poetry collections and was a frequent contributor to BSFA publications such as Vector and Matrix. He occasionally wrote letters to fanzines where he had a talent for identifying deep authorial erudition that the author in question could almost believe they had intended.

He was a member of the APA Acnestis from its second mailing in February 1993.

He organised or participated in poetry events at several conventions including the 1989 Eastercon and several Mexicons.
