(???? – )

Nic Oosterbaan was a literary agent, translator, magazine editor and fan from The Netherlands active in in the 1950s and 1960s and perhaps later. He was editor of the magazine Planeet, the first issue of which appeared in January 1953.

He attended Coroncon in London in 1953. Ken Slater met him there and said:

He (like most folk I met for the first time) was nothing like my visualisation of him. Somehow, I'd pictured him as 'big'. In stature, I was wrong – but after several conversations with him I realised I had it right otherwise – Nic is 'big'. Also, as folk who heard his address on Sunday know, he is honest. Although he is a 'fan', he has taken s-f into his business because he hopes 'to cash in on it'.

He contributed an essay on 'Prehistorie van SF in Nederland' to Holland SF in 1968.
