J. Heitt was a fan from Hollywood active in the 1930s. He was a member of the UK's Science Fiction Association (SFA). A number of members of LASFS joined in July 1937 so it's possible and indeed likely that Heitt was part of that group given the timing and the Hollywood address. Then again, perhaps he was a Forrest J Ackerman pseudonym. Or a typo.
