(???? – )

F. C. Newman was a UK fan active in the 1940s who attended the Whitcon of 1948.

Truthfully, his (or her) very existence is a little tenuous and is derived solely from an interpretation of a signature on a list of Whitcon attendees. The signature is not that of John Newman as he has clearly and more distinctly signed elsewhere. John's wife was Joan Newman and it doesn't look like another 'J. Newman'. There is no mention anywhere of another Newman attending the convention.
