(???? --)
Leonard ‘Len’ A. Kippin was a UK fan briefly active in the thirties.
He had a letter published in the June 1930 issue of Wonder Stories and this was seen by Wally Gillings. Kippin’s letter gave an address in Ilford and Gillings lived in the nearby suburb of Leyton. The two met and Gillings later described Kippin as ‘several years my senior, already married, a Commercial traveller, with a sense of humour which bubbled in him constantly, and an interest in amateur radio.’ (New Futurian #2)
He co-founded the Ilford Science Literary Circle, the UK’s first SF club, with Gillings in 1930. He joined the Science Fiction League at the same time as Gillings a few years later, but thereafter disappeared from the history of UK fandom.
